Drum Roll Please.....

As most of you know, we were waiting until Michelle's birthday (or pretty darn close to it) to find out the gender of the petit pea in the oven. We chose to do it yesterday! You'll hear in the video that we reference the earlier part of the day. Well, we had been filming at different times all day long, but figured that most people could care less about that and just wanted us to get to the good stuff! It's a rather long video, but we like to make people squirm and wait! ;-) We know some of you had bets or feelings or psychic premonitions about what we're having. So, to find out if you've just won some money, lost some money, or should open up your own psychic hotline like Dionne Warwick, check this out....

Servin' up the Dish on 'The Pea Tree'

Hello! And, welcome to the Pea Tree Dish! We're the Peas - it's been a theme for our relationship since we started dating, back in 2001, and has sort of stuck with us. Without getting too cute on your asses, I'll explain a little. This is meant to be sort of tongue in cheek, so bear with us.
We started referring to ourselves as "two crazy peas" when we first started dating because we felt like we were so in sync. Then Brian's roommate Jerome called us "two peas in a pod" one day and we thought that was, like, so bizarre because that's what we called ourselves (OMG! Man, people are silly when they first start dating...) Anyway, then Brian's sister Noelle got us a cute little ceramic pea pod as a stocking stuffer for a Christmas a couple years ago. Again, we thought it was Kismet! (geez, we're a couple of saps).
Anyway, now we're expecting a petit pea. ;-) After looking at all kinds of colors/themes for the nursery, what did we decide on? Bedding that's called Sweet Pea, of course! It wasn't on purpose; it just happened to be the one we liked the most. So, all roads just keep leading us to peas somehow. And, now you know the history of the Peas.

This blog is dedicated to giving our families and friends the "dish" on what's going on with our new family tree - The Pea Tree!
(We also liked that our blog title sounded like petri dish - a place you can peer into a little microcosm, so that works too!)
